MIAMI - The sun-soaked Coconut Grove neighborhood in Miami is now home to the new global headquarters of SH Hotels and Resorts, a hotel brand management company known for operating some of the world's most dynamic hotel brands, including 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, Treehouse Hotels, and SH Collection properties. The inauguration, which was formally announced today, brings a fresh wave of luxury hospitality expertise to South Florida.

The company's CEO, Raul Leal (a podcast guest), shared in a celebratory social media post: "Today SH Hotels and Resorts formally inaugurated our new Global Headquarters in Coconut Grove in Miami. We were honored to be joined by our Chairman Barry Sternlicht and Francis Suarez, Mayor of Miami."

The new headquarters, located at 3225 Aviation Ave on the fifth floor of Bayview Executive Plaza, spans a generous 5,800 square feet and is expected to accommodate 35 to 50 employees. Some of the staff will relocate from the company's previous offices in New York and Los Angeles, while others are new hires from within South Florida.

The move is part of SH Hotels and Resorts' strategic shift to be closer to the 1 Hotel South Beach and the substantially completed headquarters of the parent company, Starwood Capital Group. "The decision was made last year to move SH Hotel’s headquarters from Los Angeles to Miami," explained Leal, who himself is a resident of Coconut Grove. Starwood Capital Group, a private investment firm with a staggering $120 billion under management, shares a close relationship with SH Hotels and Resorts.

The new location, in close proximity to Miami International Airport, was chosen over the Starwood Capital Group building to provide better accessibility for employees and visitors. Both buildings are located on Miami Beach's Collins Avenue corridor, near 23rd Street.

This move underlines the strength and expansion of SH Hotels and Resorts, which currently manages 11 luxury hotels around the world. Their portfolio includes the impressive 1 Hotel South Beach, which was sold to Host Hotels & Resorts for a hefty $610 million in 2019. Looking ahead, the company has plans to manage at least another nine hotels, including the anticipated Treehouse Brickell. This unique hotel will operate within JDS Development's 64-story 1 Southside Park project, further highlighting the company's innovative approach to luxury hospitality.

SH Hotels and Resorts is at the forefront of creating hotel experiences that combine conscious design, sustainable architecture, and unrivaled service. Each of their brands brings a unique flavor to the hospitality industry. 1 Hotels, for instance, is inspired by nature, aiming to blend sustainable architecture with extraordinary comfort, while Baccarat Hotels pays homage to its rich history as a 250-year-old crystal brand, emphasizing sophisticated design and memorable experiences.

The opening of the new headquarters in Miami's Coconut Grove is another milestone for SH Hotels and Resorts, marking a new chapter of growth and innovation for the company. As they continue to redefine luxury hospitality, all eyes are on this dynamic company and their inspiring vision for the future.
